How long are First Aid certificates valid?
Your HLTAID011 Provide First Aid certification is valid for 36 months (3 years), while the CPR component (HLTAID009) should be refreshed annually to stay current with the latest guidelines. The HLTAID012 Childcare First Aid certification is also valid for 36 months, with annual CPR refresher recommended.
It’s important to note that some industries or employers may have specific requirements for more frequent refresher training, particularly in high-risk environments.

How do I get my First Aid certificate?
Upon successful completion of your course (including any assessments), you’ll receive your nationally recognised certificate either same-day or within 24 hours. Same-day certificates are subject to course completion by 3pm and verification of all required documentation.
Your certificate will be provided in digital format via email, with hard copy certificates available upon request. The certificate includes your name, the qualification obtained, date of completion, and validity period.
Do I need to complete a First Aid refresher course?
Yes, regular refresher training is recommended to maintain your skills and keep your certification current:
- CPR skills should be refreshed annually
- Full First Aid certification should be renewed every three years
